As principal of vanswell strategies, Bailey supports clients with a variety of projects informed by her track record spanning nearly two decades across brand strategy, marketing and communications functions.
Currently serving as the Director of Marketing for the Cleveland Guardians, Bailey previously worked across numerous industries including electrical and manufacturing (as Director at Eaton, serving both electrical and industrial sector C-Suite leaders and global teams), financial services (as Progressive's manager of marketing strategy, leading brand and customer acquisition campaigns), CPG (at Beam Suntory in brand management) and supported clients in industries whilst serving in leadership roles across marketing, digital communications and brand agencies in automotive, telecommunications, nonprofit, governmental, healthcare and aviation.
Across her career, Bailey has served in roles of increasing complexity and responsibility, from individual contributor to team leader, always ensuring strategy is paid off by execution, across challenger brands and industry leaders, from start-ups to legacies.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Bailey is deeply committed to giving back to her community. Her volunteer experience includes serving on the board of trustees at the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes (as well as co-leading the annual gala); serving on Hathaway Brown's Head's Council, as well as the Forward Together Advisory Committee for Shaker Heights. Previously, she served as the Vice President of the Board at 826CHI, further demonstrating her dedication to education and community development.
Bailey holds an undergraduate degree from New York University and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, though all of these pale in comparison to her greatest prides: her marriage to her husband, Walt, and their two children, Thomas and Esme.
